[Subgroup-health] Third-party payment study - STEP 2

Dear all,
 
Following my e mail of 26 January concerning the launching of a joint
MIIF-STEP-Health subgroup study of current claims models in health
microinsurance schemes in Asia, Africa and Latin America (see below), the
MicroInsurance Facility and the STEP programme have been working on the 1st
stage of the study, i.e. the mapping exercise, which includes:
1. Literature review on the subject
2. Mapping questionnaire sent to various networks, Interviews with 15 experts
3. Table with list of schemes identified and basic descriptions; 4 to 5 schemes
selected as case study
 
The Mapping questionnaire is an online survey which will be sent to various
networks of HMI practitioners and experts. It includes 14 simple questions and
should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. It is developped in 3
languages: French, English, Spanish. 
 
We would like to invite you to participate in this survey which can be filled

Deadline is May 6, 2009
 
The report that will come out from this study will be a joint MIIF- STEP-
Health subgroup publication. It should be ready by October 2009.

Dear all

I have been approached by the Microinsurance Innovation Facility to participate
in a study on "Third-Party Payment Solutions in Health Microinsurance" ... this
study will include case studies of health insurance schemes, and a synthesis
paper
 
I would like to know if the health working group (or at least some of the group
members) would be interested to partner on this initiative. 
 
Our involvement would include, e.g.:
- provide comments on the draft concept note (attached),
- volunteer to join the study committee and review draft outputs (literature
review, mapping questionnaire, mapping report, case studies, draft report),
- provide data on the schemes you run or you know (as case studies),
- disseminate further the mapping questionnaire and motivate people to answer.
 
Please tell me if you are interested, and how we could proceed (as a group)?
