It's the new buzz term in the industry's lexicon, but is it more than that? The Insurance Insider went all the way to Senegal to find out...

 

There is an untapped market for insurance among hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people in developing countries, provided insurers develop straightforward products and procedures that minimise costs. This was the message from the fifth annual Microinsurance conference, sponsored by the Munich Re Foundation and Microinsurance Network and held in Dakar, Senegal, during the first week in November.
