MicroEnsure (UK) and ParaLife Group (Switzerland), two Microinsurance Network members, have been shortlisted for the 2009 Financial Times Sustainable Banking Awards, in the category Achievement for Basic Needs Financing. The Financial Times and IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, have announced the shortlists for the 2009 FT Sustainable Banking Awards. The Awards, now in their fourth year, were created to recognise banks and other financial institutions that have shown leadership and innovation in integrating social, environmental and corporate governance considerations into their operations. 

¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨

ADA (Luxembourg) and BRS (Belgium) have launched microfact.org, an online platform which aims to strengthen performances of Microfinance and Microinsurance Institutions by promoting tools, including the ones developped with the GTZ (Germany) and the Performance Indicators Working group.¨
