MICRA is please to announce the 2nd upcoming Academy for Microfinance Development in Asia (AMIDA) April 2009. 

Microfinance Innovation Center for Resources and Alternatives (MICRA), an Indonesian institution founded by Mercy Corps, with the mission to build the institutional strength and outreach of the Indonesian microfinance sector by providing a full range of high-quality, best-practice technical support services to industry stakeholders. 

Following the success of the first AMiDA that was held on March 2008 in Bali, AMiDA tend to strengthen its existence to be the leading microfinance academy in Asia with an international standards and best practices applicable to the Asian / Pacific market. Adapting from the world leading academies providing continued international intensive training programs to microfinance practitioners and policy makers with focus more on technical issues. AMIDA also provide an exposure to Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) for a real life observation of Indonesia's MFI practices. New topics relevant to the current challenge of microfinance industry will be covered at AMiDA, such as Housing micro finance product development, Remittances, micro insurance, Islamic Banking and many others. Both International and national faculty in Microfinance will facilitate the trainings at AMiDA.
