[Microinsurancefocus] IFC acquires 16.5% stake in Protecta - Peru

IFC has acquired a 16.5% stake in Peruvian life insurer Protecta, the country's first specialized microinsurance company, to help expand insurance services to lower-income households and smaller businesses, IFC said in a press release.
